MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To own and support all critical production workloads on various cloud service providers used by flydubai. To ensure service levels related to system availability and uptimes are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages a team of cloud engineers who ensures the cloud environments are always protected against security vulnerabilities and updated with latest OS patches
• Contributes to developing a migration strategy for on premise applications to cloud. 
• Develops decision points to select the best cloud option based on application behaviour and architecture.
• Ensures high availability and performance of cloud solutions.
• Understands and communicates changes/enhancements that impact systems and solutions based on cloud offerings.
• Coordinates internal cost tracking meetings to ensure cloud spend remains within budget.
• Reports to senior management on cloud performance KPIs and billing statistics.
• Monitors the cloud environments and ensures SLAs related to service availability are upheld.
• Designs and manages network and communication links within cloud and across cloud providers.
• Contributes to setting up CI/CD pipelines in cloud, which ensures agile software delivery.
• Coordinates with various stakeholders to set up Business review meetings as well as Operation review meetings.
• Ensures the team is self-sufficient and appropriately skilled through certifications and trainings on cloud technologies to support production loads.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Education Level Required

• Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent)

Education / Experience Specific Requirements

• Certification related to specific cloud provider technologies
• Preferred No. of Years (with Relevant Degree) - 10

Systems, Licensing, Language or Certification Requirements

Experience in Infrastructure Architecture of on-premise data centres is mandatory

ISR Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day to day business operations.
