Body of Dubai OFW allegedly killed by Pakistani arrived home; family cries for justice

The body of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who was previously assigned here in Dubai and was allegedly killed by a Pakistani national is finally with his family in Koronadal City.

The OFW, identified as Roy Demingoy, was reportedly pushed by a Pakistani national from the rooftop of the fourth-floor building.

Citing a report from Bombo Radyo Koronadal, the victim was a resident of Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Sta. Cruz in Koronadal.

The brother of the victim, Lloyd Demingoy, said in the report that his brother’s body was found dead last October 4.

The report noted that the investigation showed that the unnamed Pakistani national pushed the Filipino from the rooftop. The Pakistani reportedly admitted to the crime and is now being detained in a police station in Dubai.

In a separate interview with DXMS Radyo Bida Cotabato City, Lloyd said that the possible reason why Roy was pushed by the Pakistani was due to envy.

Lloyd claimed that Roy was one of the lucky employees who was chosen to be the personal assistant of a prince in the emirate out of 60 workers.

Roy has been working in the emirate for six years already as a cleaner before he transferred to a new company this year.

The Demingoy family cries for justice and asks for help from the government.

The body of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who was allegedly killed by his co-worker has been brought home in Koronadal City, Cotabato on November 22.

The OFW identified as Roy Demingoy was reportedly pushed to death his co-worker from Pakistan from the fourth floor of their flat.

The suspect admitted to the crime as the ordeal had been captured by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera.

A court’s decision has yet to be made, but the Demingoy family is determined to bring the suspect to justice.

According to the family, they were told that envy was the suspect’s possible motive for the crime.

Demingoy was chosen among employees to become an assistant chef while the suspect was not picked.

The OFW had been working in the emirate since 2016 and initially worked as a cleaner prior to his transfer to the company.

His remains are scheduled for burial on December 2.
